Management Skills for Wildlife Conservation (MSWC) is pleased to welcome Sanne Bitter to its Board of Directors. Bitter is the Strategy Director at the Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT), a membership organization serving over 700,000 community members across 45 community conservancies in Kenya and Uganda. In this role, she is responsible for developing the long-term vision and a 5-year strategy, overseeing the implementation of the new strategic plan, setting up a private philanthropy strategy to diversify fundraising efforts, and supporting the transformation of NRT towards greater efficiency and professionalism.

Before NRT , Bitter worked as strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for 4 years. She worked on projects related to climate and nature, organizational change, and strategic growth. During this time, she was also seconded to FarmWorks, where she was leading projects to improve and standardize operations across horticultural farms in rural Kenya.
Bitter holds an MSc in Global Business & Sustainability from Rotterdam School of Management and a BSc in Public Administration & Organizational Science from Utrecht University. She is a FGASA Level 1 Field Guide and is passionate about nature – especially birdwatching.
